Improve the Amelia Manager role to allow full Amelia management without requiring the WordPress Administrator role#4936

Hello,

I would like to suggest an improvement regarding the Amelia Manager role.

Currently, the Amelia Manager role already allows users to manage many parts of Amelia.

However, it does not provide access to all plugin features.

Some important actions are still reserved for users with the WordPress Administrator role, such as full access to Amelia settings, features and integrations, advanced configuration options, as well as some global management or permanent delete actions.

In our case, we build WordPress websites for clients who need to manage their own booking system.

This includes appointments, services, employees, working hours, customers, events, payments, notifications, settings, integrations, and so on.

To allow them to use Amelia to its full potential, we often have to assign them the WordPress Administrator role.

The issue is that this role also gives access to many WordPress sections that are not related to Amelia.

For example: plugins, appearance, settings, tools, users, other plugins, etc.

This makes the left-hand menu in the WordPress back office much heavier.

It also makes the interface more complex for the end client.

Finally, it increases the risk of mistakes in areas of the website they do not need to manage.

The request would be to provide a way to give full access to Amelia without having to grant the WordPress Administrator role.

For example:

  • improve the Amelia Manager role so it can receive all Amelia permissions;
  • or create a new role, such as Amelia Admin or Amelia Super Manager;
  • or add an option in the roles and permissions settings to allow a Manager to access all Amelia settings, integrations, and features.

The goal would be to let clients manage Amelia completely and independently.

It would also keep the WordPress back office simpler, safer, and better suited to their daily use.

This improvement would clearly separate Amelia-related permissions from global WordPress administration permissions.

Thank you for considering this request.
