Feature Request: Manual Duration Override to avoid inefficient "Time Blocking"#4890

Hi Amelia Team,

I am writing to request a critical improvement for the Appointment booking modal.

In the beauty industry (specifically hair salons), service duration is highly variable. Currently, because I cannot change the duration of a specific appointment on the fly, I am forced to use the “Special Days” or “Work Hours / Breaks” settings to block out extra time, or create dummy appointments to fill the gaps.

Using these blocking functions is extremely inconvenient and time-consuming. It clutters the calendar, makes reporting inaccurate, and complicates the schedule for my stylists.

We need a simple “Duration” field in the Appointment modal that allows us to:

Manually set the end time or total minutes for a specific client.

Avoid using manual “time blocks” or “breaks” to compensate for long hair services.

Keep the calendar clean and professional.

This flexibility is standard in other salon software, and its absence in Amelia is a significant bottleneck for professional hair stylists. Please consider adding this manual override.
