I’m trying to create a service called “Venue Hire” for a client. All of the current possibilities are great but it just lacks the ability to create dynamic pricing when using “Pricing by date and time”.
For example the client wants the ability to set different prices (per hour) at different times of the day / and or on weekends for the hire of their venue. At the moment it’s just not possible to do this as it would require a combination of the various offerings for pricing within Amelia (pricing by duration and pricing by date and time).
The simplest solution I can think of to make this possible would be to offer the ability to set a minium and maximum duration in the “Pricing by date and time” section as the price has already been specified per day / date / time entry in there anyway. Instead of using the fixed duration in the section at the top.
This way for a service such as “venue hire” the frontend user can select a period of time like 5 hours Venue Hire (within the parameters of the minumum and maximum rules) and inkeeping with the master step setting (for example 1 hour), whereas currently the user can only choose from blocks of the step time set in the “Duration” setting.
