Flexible Recurring Events (Custom Dates & Editable Occurrences)#4839

I would love to see more flexibility in the recurring events feature.

Current limitation:
Recurring events can only be created using fixed patterns (daily, weekly, monthly). This does not work well for many real-world use cases.

Use case:
Many of my clients offer events (e.g. workshops, ceremonies, classes) that:

• occur multiple times per year
• do NOT follow a strict pattern
• have similar structure but sometimes require content changes

Current workaround:
We have to create many individual events manually, which is:

• time-consuming
• error-prone
• hard to manage

Suggested improvements:

• Allow custom / manually selected dates within one event series
• Allow editing individual occurrences more easily
• Support irregular recurrence patterns

Business impact:
I am currently using “The Events Calendar” for this reason.
I am considering switching multiple websites completely to Amelia, but this limitation is the main blocker.

This feature would make Amelia much more powerful and suitable for real-world event management.
