HTML Notifications and CSS support#3006

Hi guys,

It’s disappointing that, as a developer, I still see requests for such an important feature. Email notifications with HTML options have no styling options? No CSS, no tables—nothing is there except for the tags that Amelia devs decided to allow? It’s embarrassing when I see people have been requesting this for years and you are taking care about totally not important for anyone things! I’ve started to use amelia sice the plugin was released and the progress you guys are making there is seriously bad. So many years of deelopment and plugin that is not able to fit in any business for 100% as the owners wisch to. Totally lack of knowledge about businesses you serve to and totall lack of research.

More and more I’m thinking about own booking plugin development as have enough of struggling with the code that ovverrides your plugin stupid behaviour.
Sorry for dissapointed voice.

Agree unfortunately, amelias has potential but is not developed fully. Big updates are not coming. We are struggling as hell with html alone with too many characters that are approved by amelia for one language, not the other, and layout is completely destroyed when refreshing the page. Terrible

I think they are created this plugin for small business owners that handle the websites on their own but they totally forgot about developers that create websites for smal businesses. Luckly enough I don’t need to use Amelia too often but when I use and trying to set for customers it is just dussapointing.

Nobody cares what someone “thinks”. FACTS are that html emails are not fully developed and are restricted, which damages business branding and is not acceptable for a booking plugin supposed to serve businesses in 2024 . Period. Any “thought” or “belief” is out of topic here.

Hi there,

Thank you for sharing your feedback. It’s valuable for us to understand your specific needs better so we can improve our plugin accordingly. It seems like you’re looking for more advanced styling options and customization features for email notifications in Amelia.

We’ve recently addressed an issue related to HTML notifications and the Quill editor in our latest 7.5.1 update. However, we understand that there may still be areas where we can improve.

Could you please provide more details on the specific styling options you’re looking for? Your input will help us better understand your requirements and work towards implementing features that meet your needs.

Feel free to share any specific styling elements or customization options you’d like to see in our email notifications. We’re here to listen and ensure that Amelia aligns with your business requirements.

Additionally, we’re aware of the character limits in the email notifications, and we have plans to address this issue in the future. Once it’s prioritized and in progress, we’ll provide an update in the dedicated ticket: https://features.wpamelia.com/2925.

Styling options? Give us a freedom of HTML include all tags that can be used in emails as emails handle different set of tags, but not what we have now!

Tables are not accepted. I have a footer where I would like to include the name , role and image next to it. But I can’t use the tables, can’t use div’s either

I’ve managed to add the icons and logo in the footer but because I’m not able to use the tables and literally any tags that gives me the structure of two columns, my footer is not as professional as we want.

HTML characters unlimited, also when setting html notification for one language when the number of characters is not exceeding the limit (which is not mentioned), we can’t add the notification for the other language.
Also, once the html notification is added to the notification and saved, when reloading the page the displays looked broken and the html code disappeared, when doing any change or saving again the html notification doesnt appear properly. It’s like the HTML code is not memorized and is changed by amelia

  • bullet points make text smaller
  • for text colours allow us to enter hex code in the colour picker instead of changing in HTML
  • allow to use tables!
  • allow emoji or windows default icons
  • copied formated text for example bold and pasted is loosing styling so is no longer bold. So, created paragraph or block of text can’t be copied and pasted.
  • create title and then bullet points and save the template. go to another template and comeback -> 3 line space will be placed between the title and bullet points.
  • remove automatically creating bullet points when the paragraph starts from ‘-‘ dash! Who designed this?

HTML and EDITOT for notifications are disaster! I’m using currently v7.5

I want to change the behaviour of some of the headline. They don’t wrap around and are cut after a certain amount of characters. Where can I change that? Are there settings for that? If not, where can I edit the CSS?
