Email when Event is created#1532

Hi,
Is it possible to create a notification to employee/staff when an event is created?
Also, perhaps a mass email to clients or a way to integrate with other plugins to do so such as Uncanny Automator which currently allows to triger recipes only after events/appointments are booked/registered.
