It would be nice if we could change the number that SMS are sent from to a number that we could receive replies on such as a cell number or business inbox.

Yes!!!! PLEASE make this happen! Many customers mistakenly text the default Amelia phone number given, and I never receive any replies since this feature is not existing.

It would also be great if customers had the feature of confirming their appointment by texting back “Y” or “N” to confirm or cancel. Texting “Y” would double-confirm that the customer is truly coming, and texting “N” would cancel the appointment.

2 way sms within amelia would be a good option

1. A custom gateway where I can send my SMS to my customers without paying the high rates per SMS using Amelia’s SMS system.
   You can use https://www.routee.net/ to send your SMS having a very low cost per SMS (~0,035euro/sms)

2. I want to send SMS from the backend of Amelia automatically
   You can use https://wp-webhooks.com/ a webhook app that has already the integration ready for Amelia to send SMS automatically

3. I don’t want (and is toooo expensive) to use zappier to achieve it (then is better to use Amelia’s SMS system.

4. I want to use my OWN mobile number where my Customers can see my number and reply back if they want.
   Using https://www.routee.net/ YOU CAN HAVE YOUR OWN mobile phone number. Routee is sending the SMS and the reply from your Customer COMES STRAIGHT TO YOUR MOBILE NUMBER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

5. I want my Customer’s account to be confirmed/verified via SMS (the ability to use 2FA is a dream!)

6. I want my Customer to have the ability to reschedule their appointment if they want via SMS
   DONE IT using my OWN mobile number using https://www.routee.net/and I am changing the appointment with Amelia by hand.

7. I want to have the ability to send mass SMS to my Customers informing to inform them of my new EVENT or even to wish them Happy New Year
   DONE IT using my OWN mobile number and I am sending massive SMS to my Customers using https://wp-webhooks.com/ to control the type of the SMS (appointment/event/etc)

8. I want to have the ability to have Two-Way SMS/text communication, and even to offer my Customer free of charge reply back SMS
   I haven’t done it so far but I am close to it!!!

Agreed. I would love to have customers receive SMS from my own number (and reply back to it for questions/confirmation/etc). I use voIP.ms, which has its own API https://voip.ms/business/resources/api
Currently I can achieve this through zapier, but it is cost prohibitive just for a few texts/day.

Setting up integration with voip providers would be fantastic.
